The ultra-high-end Jacob & Co. Millionnaire Yellow Diamonds testifies to Jacob & Co’s unmatched watchmaking and gem-setting experience, know-how and outstanding position in its field. A grand total of 95.71 carats of 276 square emerald-cut yellow diamonds make up the case and bracelet of the Jacob & Co. Millionnaire , encapsulating the Exclusive Jacob & Co JCAM23 skeletonized tourbillon caliber.

In the world of Jacob & Co’s high jewelry horological masterpieces, the Jacob & Co. Millionnaire Yellow Diamonds joined the Billionaire in opening a parallel universe where haut de gamme haute joaillerie met cutting-edge watchmaking in era-defining ways. The one-minute tourbillon of the Millionaire Yellow Diamonds is haute horlogerie’s response to the high jewelry tour de force that surrounds it. With its black mirror polished upper cage – a finishing technique that requires extraordinary patience and dexterity -, hand-bevelled and hand-polished edges and calculated operation, the tourbillon is the only complication to live up to the breathtaking visual experience of the diamond-set exterior.

The Jacob & Co. Millionnaire  tourbillon encapsulates the balance wheel, hairspring, escape wheel and a number of other crucially important components, all superbly finished components. Its most careful assembly is followed by a painstaking fine-tuning process, allowing the Millionaire to keep accurate time throughout its extended, 72-hour power reserve. The sheer beauty of the tourbillon is complemented by a uniquely skeletonized movement and its magnificent architecture. Its plates have been extensively skeletonized to a point where the delicate movement is securely held in place by a web-like structure of thin bridges, all refined and decorated by hand. This maintains focus on the quality of surface treatments and their haute horlogerie quality of execution: the presence of watchmaking greatness that is to be appreciated, despite their exquisite environment. This five-link bracelet is unlike any other ever created: every row in the Millionaire Yellow Diamonds’ exquisite diamond-set bracelet comprises 5 links, all specially joined to allow for the flexibility, fit and feel required. The bracelet tapers from the case and its yellow diamond lugs all the way towards the diamond-set clasp. As it narrows, it maintains its five-link configuration through the careful and accurate planning that allows for the use of ever smaller sized diamonds. Gemmological expertise meets gem-setting know-how and world-class engineering. A grand total of 95.71 carats of 276 square emerald-cut yellow diamonds make up the case, bezel and bracelet of this Piece Unique Millionaire, with an additional rose-cut yellow diamond adorning the crown and 11 baguette-cut diamonds as the hour markers. Finding, color-coordinating and cutting the diamonds set into the exterior of Millionaire posed an immense challenge even in the realms of haute joaillerie.

Having fully mastered its gem-setting expertise has allowed Jacob & Co. Millionnaire to overcome this challenge and present ultra-high-end watchmaking in a setting hitherto only seen in the Billionaire timepiece. The resulting contrast between two distinctly different, yet equally enthralling disciplines creates tension as much as it does inimitable beauty in the Millionaire. The case of the Millionaire Yellow Diamonds measures 46 by 35 millimeters and is 11 millimeters thick between the top of its anti-reflective sapphire crystal and the lowest point of its case. Its case structure is crafted from 18K Yellow Gold with a bezel, as well as lugs and case profiles fully set with emerald-cut diamonds. The case-back is sapphire crystal with an 18K Yellow Gold frame. The Millionaire features no dial in the traditional sense: its skeletonized movement structure serves as the spectacular backdrop of its hands, whereas the hour markers are 11 baguette-cut diamonds, set into the periphery of the flange frame. The gun blue metallic hands are partially skeletonized to go with the featherweight construction of the Exclusive Jacob & Co caliber that drives them.
