Audemars Piguet has teamed up with fashion designer Tamara Ralph to create something special: the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon “Tamara Ralph” Limited Edition. Revealed at the Spring/Summer 2024 Fashion Week, this watch combines great design with a touch of luxury. Made with 18-carat pink gold, it shows off beautiful colors from brown to golden tones, much like Ralph’s fashion style. What makes this watch stand out is its Frosted Gold finish. This innovative technique, brought to Audemars Piguet by jewelry expert Carolina Bucci in 2016, involves tapping the gold with a special tool to make it sparkle like diamonds. This gives the watch extra flash on wrist.

The watch’s design is all about attention to detail. The bezel is polished to shine, while the sides have a brushed look for contrast. Getting these textures just right is a tough job, showing off the well known and advanced skill of Audemars Piguet’s watchmakers.

The latest Audemars Piguet timepiece sees the prestigious Maison joining hands with luxury fashion designer Tamara Ralph for a Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon “Tamara Ralph” Limited Edition time-teller. Debuted at Ralph’s Spring/Summer 2024 Paris Haute Couture show yesterday, the timepiece serves as an amalgamation of Haute Horlogerie and Haute Couture.

In terms of appearance, the watch encapsulates AP’s emblematic design codes as well as Ralph’s feminine, bold and timelessly elegant aesthetics. Framed inside the 18-carat frosted pink gold case is a multi-layered dial in varying tones of brown, bronze, and gold that nods to Ralph’s creations. Sitting on the 6 o’clock position is the flying tourbillon that mirrors the dial’s textured detailing with a cage that consists of 4 overlapping circular pink gold plates.

Beating at the heart of the time-teller is AP’s Calibre 2964, a hand-wound movement made up of 207 parts, 17 jewels and a power reserve of 72 hours. Completing the shimmering and elegant timepiece is a pearly bronze-huge alligator strap in a “large square scale” look and an additional pearlescent finish brown alligator strap.

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon “Tamara Ralph” Limited Edition is released in a limited run of 100 examples and is now open for inquiry via Audemars Piguet.
